Viva La Vita! Anxiously Awaiting the PSP Vita's Arrival

The Sony family is expecting their new baby handheld, the PSP Vita, on February 22nd, 2012. This adorably tech savvy and absolutely brilliant bundle of joy is at about 182 mm in length and 9.8 ounces. Unlike its siblings, the PSP GO and the first, second, and third generations of the original PSP, this little guy will give PlayStation fans what they’ve always been looking for.

This handheld features baby smooth front and rear touch pads, dual analog sticks, front and rear cameras, motion sense technology, and because we get super bored sometimes, there will also be downloadable applications.

However, Sony went the whole nine yards when they created this next feature. How many times have you been so enraptured in a game and then your younger brother or sister asks you to pick them up somewhere? Or when you have to go to class? Or when you have to go to the bathroom? Well friends, you don’t have to worry anymore. You can save your game and then pick up right where you left off on your PSP Vita.

I don’t advise it, but you can finish playing Uncharted 3 while you take a nice bubble bath. Well, that’s what I would do anyway. The game releases for the Vita are actually rather impressive. While the original PSP didn’t have the greatest games save for a select few titles like Kingdom Hearts and Crisis Core, let’s face it – the best feature for the PSP was that it let you put music on it and use it in your car.

Here’s a list of the top Vita games coming out: Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Resistance: Burning Skies, Disgaea: Absence of Detention, LittleBigPlanet, Touch My Katamari (LOL.. sorry…) BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Dungeon Hunter Alliance. The rest of the games actually all look like big hits, but time will tell if the original titles will be worth the play.
